Rodent Exclusion
Seal them out and clean up what they left behind.
Rats and mice find their way into crawl spaces and attics through gaps smaller than you would expect. A mouse fits through a hole the size of a dime. Once inside, they tear up insulation and vapour barrier, chew wiring, and leave droppings and urine that contaminate the space.
Signs of rodents
- Droppings in the crawl space, attic, or under sinks
- Scratching sounds in walls or ceilings at night
- Shredded insulation or nesting material
- Gnaw marks on wood, wiring, or pipes
- A sharp ammonia smell
What we do
- 1
Inspect the foundation, vents, and rooflines for entry points.
- 2
Seal gaps and openings with materials rodents cannot chew through, and replace damaged vent screens.
- 3
Remove contaminated insulation, vapour barrier, and debris.
- 4
Sanitise affected surfaces.
- 5
Restore with new vapour barrier and insulation.
We focus on exclusion and cleanup. For trapping or ongoing control, we recommend working with a licensed pest control company — and we are happy to coordinate.
