What We Dry

Saving what can be saved.

Every material holds water differently. We match the drying method to the material, which is how we save more of your home.

Hardwood floors

Wet hardwood cups, crowns, and buckles. With floor drying mats and panel systems that pull moisture up through the boards, many floors can be saved if drying starts early.

Walls

Water runs down inside wall cavities and sits behind baseboards. We use cavity drying systems that push dry air into the wall through small, easily patched holes. When drywall must come out, we cut only as high as the water reached.

Ceilings

Leaks from upstairs bathrooms, roofs, and attics collect above ceilings. Sagging drywall is a safety concern and usually comes down. Ceilings that are wet but intact can often be dried in place.

Cabinets

Water gets under kitchen and bathroom cabinets and stays there. We remove toe kicks and dry the void underneath so cabinets and countertops can stay put.

Carpet and pad

Clean water on carpet can often be extracted and dried in place. Pad usually gets replaced. Carpet exposed to grey or black water is removed for health reasons.

Crawl spaces and basements

These spaces are low, dark, and often damp to begin with. We extract standing water, remove wet insulation and vapour barrier, and dry the area with air movers and dehumidifiers sized for the space.

Concrete and subfloors

Slabs and plywood subfloors hold moisture deep. We monitor them until readings match dry reference points, so new flooring is not installed over a damp base.

Contents

Furniture, rugs, and belongings can be moved, blocked up off wet floors, or packed out for cleaning and storage. [Confirm pack-out offered]
